Our Jewish & Israel Studies Minor
What can a Jewish & Israel studies minor do for you?
Have you ever wondered how an ancient culture developed into a modern one? Then dig a little deeper into cultural diversity and experience with the Jewish & Israel studies minor.
Don't know much about Jewish culture or the Middle East? Not a problem. We'll teach you! All you need is an interest in broadening your perspective on spirituality, ethnicity and culture.
Whether you thirst for a broader spiritual understanding, or you hunger for historical perspective, the Jewish & Israel studies minor is sure to satisfy. The minor will introduce you to Jewish religion, literature and history.
The study of Jewish culture and Israeli history isn't limited to the classroom, however. Get involved in Hillel on campus. Visit the Hillel House for a Shabbat meal prepared in the home's kosher kitchen. Better yet, study abroad in Israel through our GO Jerusalem program or one of our partner programs in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Beer-Sheva and Haifa.
The Jewish studies minor requires 22 semester hours of study in courses such as Introduction to Judaism, Jewish Literature and The Holocaust, along with two semester hours of independent study.
