Thank You!

The Celebrating Scholarship luncheon recognizes the important role that donors play in providing scholarships to help students afford a Susquehanna education. Donors also provide endowment funding in support of faculty, special lectures and programs.

The annual gathering is an opportunity for students to learn about the special people who care deeply about them and Susquehanna. Each student has a different story and life path but there is one common thread: We are all connected through the generosity of the people who believe in the value of a Susquehanna education.

Our strong sense of community, rich history and academic excellence are what make Susquehanna such a special place worthy of our devotion.

Thank you to our loyal donors for your role in shaping the lives of our students.

"The experience of having my twin brother, Jeremy, attend the same college is something that my family and I hold dear. We gained an additional four years of memories of being by each other’s side. Our decision to attend Susquehanna was largely because of the outstanding scholarship package that we received. The opportunities provided to me through the scholarships helped me achieve a full-time position as an auditor with Cotton & Company in Alexandria, Virginia. I am extremely excited to make my move and begin working in June."

The Dawn G. Mueller Scholarship for Women in Science

As soon as I stepped foot on SU’s campus, I knew that I was here for a purpose. I was here to use my voice and help establish everlasting change in my community away from home.

I am a Center for Diversity and Inclusion student worker, a Presidential Fellow and an advocate for higher education within my native communities. To be a student at Susquehanna University and to be given this chance to pursue my dreams is something for which I will be forever thankful.

I could not have represented my people and been given this opportunity to share my voice and stories without the love and support from donors, faculty and staff at Susquehanna University. Pidamaya’do. Ahe’hee. Thank you.

The Koru Quartet performance at the luncheon was Kirby Leitz and Jonathan Deysher’s gift of gratitude. Kirby’s sentiments inspired their performance.

"None of the achievements I have had or will have this semester would have been possible without my scholarship. I thank you and the university for providing such amazing opportunities to Susquehanna students! This scholarship, among the many other generous contributions to future students’ educations, is a catalyst toward a greater future. I am but one success story of your generosity, and I have faith that there will be countless other success stories after me. On behalf of all of us, I thank you once more."
