Susquehanna University’s publishing and editing major is recognized by College Factual as No. 3 among the online college search site’s 2021 Most Popular Publishing Schools.

“We are honored by this recognition from College Factual and very proud of the publishing and editing program we have designed at Susquehanna,” said Laurence Roth, Degenstein professor of English and co-head of the Department of English and Creative Writing. “Our program is big enough that students have access to a high-tech, dedicated lab and eight department student publications, and small enough that they get hands-on, personalized attention from our accomplished faculty.”

The program has a strong track record for placing its students in internships at top magazines, publishers, and literary agencies including San Diego Magazine, Penguin Random House, UrbanEdge Publishing, Overlook Press, and Massie & McQuilkin Literary Agents.

Each year, Susquehanna’s publishing and editing graduates have been accepted into the Columbia Publishing Course and NYU’s Summer Publishing Institute. All five students from the Class of 2019 who applied to Columbia’s program, the most prestigious program in the country, were accepted.

Recent graduates have found employment at notable organizations, including Marvel Comics, HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, The Ross Yoon Agency, and Macmillan.

Susquehanna offers one of the only publishing and editing bachelor’s degrees in the country. For more information on Susquehanna’s publishing and editing major, visit here.
