Amanda Colton '06 is working toward her master's degree in social work. She works with young men aging out of the foster care system. In August she continued the global volunteer work she began at Susquehanna with an independent study in Guatemala. As a result of her work, she is publishing a paper on the effects of poverty on adoption.

Katie Farber '06 is an administrative coordinator at RHI Executive Search in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining HRI in October, Farber was an assistant editor of scholarly journals at the American Diabetes Association in Alexandria, Va. She resides in northwest Washington and is a member of the Junior League of Washington.

Ashley Kane '06 is a certified child life specialist at the Janet Weis Children's Hospital at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa. She promotes the psychosocial, emotional and physical development of patients on the adolescent medical/surgical and inpatient hematology/oncology units.

Nicole Yorty '06 was named New Teacher of the Year for the 2006-07 school year by the Clark County (Nev.) School District.

Kristin Aurand '06 and Steve Heverley '06 were married June 30, 2006, at Evangel Baptist Church in Lewistown, Pa. Bizz Laub '06 was maid of honor; Megan Klinger '06, Tara Teschko '06 and Sharon Hodge '06 were bridesmaids; and Randy Hagofsky '06 was a groomsman. Kristin teaches math at Hershey High School, and Steve is a second-year medical student at Penn State College of Medicine. They live in Hummelstown.
