The first documented theatre production at Susquehanna University occurred in 1868, with one performance of the popular melodrama Ten Nights in a Bar Room staged by the Clionian Society. Today, the Department of Theatre sponsors a wide variety of theatrical productions each year. All Susquehanna students, regardless of year or major, are invited to audition or to serve in a technical capacity. Priority in casting and filling leadership positions in design and technology, however, goes to theatre majors and minors.
