Charges
All charges incurred at the Health Center must be paid in the Business Office within two business days. If a student prefers, these charges can be added to their student account. Any charges not paid within two days will automatically be added to the student's account.
All full-time students are provided with a limited health insurance plan. The health insurance is billed as a part of the student health fee. The insurance and health fee is a mandatory charge. This insurance is an in-excess plan and, in most cases, is secondary to private insurance. Visits to the Health Center and referrals from the Health Center for lab work and x-rays are covered under the school policy if they are within the plan limits. In cases where charges exceed the plan limit, claims will be submitted to the student's private insurance first.
For international students, there is a more inclusive insurance plan that may be mandatory depending on the student’s visa. More information is available by visiting this affiliated Web site or by calling the Health Center at 570-372-4385.
The Dauntless Hook and Ladder Ambulance League offers Susquehanna University students a special subscription that manages out-of-pocket expenses incurred in the evvent of emergency treatment and/or transport. More infomation here.
