- An opportunity to be immersed in another culture while working to improve the lives of people who do not enjoy the prosperity
we in the United States take for granted.
- An academic course on the history, culture, religion, language, and food of the Philippines (two credits, Spring semester)
coupled with an on-site, service learning course (two credits).
- Taught and supervised by SU professor Dr. Jeffrey K. Mann, with lectures by local clergy, professors, NGO staff,
and other citizens of the Philippines.
- A two-week immersion into life in the provinces of Batangas and Cavite and the city of Manila.
