Assistant Director of Career Services

Susquehanna University seeks an assistant director of career services for career advising; developing and delivering outreach programming; teaching sections of an Introduction to Professional Development course; hiring, supervising and training student workers; and preparing newsletters and other promotional materials. This person will be responsible for serving as a liaison to academic departments and student groups on campus, coordinating and planning the annual Employment and Internship Fair, working with job related career fair consortiums involving Susquehanna University; jointly planning, designing and delivering programs for special focus groups and academic departments; designing and writing faculty newsletters and other promotional literature; maintaining the Center for Career Services website; collecting and reporting post-graduate survey results; and maintaining the resource library. This person will assume responsibility for the Center for Career Services in the director’s absence and participate in professional associations affiliated with Career Services.

A master’s degree in counseling, student personnel administration or related field is required. Experience in career planning, counseling or a closely related field is highly desirable. Teaching or group presentation experience is also desirable. The successful candidate must be an excellent communicator and possess the necessary computer and technology skills. This is a 12-month position with full benefits and a salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
