Confidentiality

All information that is shared with Counseling Center staff is kept confidential.  This means that Counseling Center staff cannot release information to parents, RAs, teachers, physicians, etc., without a student’s consent.  This includes indicating whether a student is a client of the Counseling Center.  Exceptions are stipulated by law and include situations involving danger to self or others.
