The overall goal of the office is to communicate the excellence and essence of a Susquehanna University education to its key constituencies, which include the campus community, prospective students, alumni, potential donors and the larger public. In addition, the office strives to create greater visibility and name recognition for Susquehanna University in support of its recruitment and development efforts. We do this, for the most part, through various channels of mass media, university publications and the Susquehanna University Web site. The office also spearheads the university's athletics communications, and is responsible for publicity on student-athletes and athletic programs, game management for some sports and record keeping for all 23 varsity sports.

Beat Assignments
Members of the Office of Communications staff have been assigned to specific departments to help develop and manage effective communications and public relations efforts. Faculty and staff are encouraged to contact their designated staff member with communication needs or public relations opportunities. Such needs or opportunities include, but are not limited to, poster/brochure development, event promotion and so on.
