National Juried Figurative Drawing and Painting Exhibition Submission Information

Eligibility:
The Lore Degenstein Gallery of Susquehanna University: National Figurative Drawing and Painting Juried Exhibition is a juried visual art competition and exhibition that is open to two-dimensional figurative artists, working in painting or drawing, who are over the age of 18 and currently reside in the United States.

Daniel Dallmann - Professor of Art at Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Painter and Printmaker
Entries and Fees:
Show inclusions will be juried from digital media, so quality is essential. Artists may submit up to three (3) works for the non-refundable fee of $25. All works entered must have been created within the last three (3) years. Fees will be accepted in the form of check or money order, made payable to “Lore Degenstein Gallery.”
Mark CDs with name of artist. Follow this filename format for each entry: "LastNameFirstInitial-Title" (Example: PiperA-SelfPortrait.jpg). Submissions should be 300 dpi TIFF or JPG files, no smaller than 5” X 7” in scale. All CD submissions should be burned to a disc readable by both Mac and PC computers.
CDs will not be returned.

First Place - $1000
Second Place - $700
Third Place - $300
Notice of Liability:
All reasonable care and precaution will be taken in the handling, storing, and installation of works submitted for this competition. The Lore Degenstein Gallery will provide insurance for artwork during the exhibition.
Participation in the entry process constitutes understanding and acceptance of the conditions set forth above.
Sales:
All sales inquiries will be referred to artists.
Accepted Works and Shipping:
Notification of acceptance via e-mail: September 15, 2009
The Lore Degenstein Gallery reserves the right to not display work that differs significantly from the submitted files.
All accepted works must be framed and ready to hang (no glass or sawtooth hangers). Works may be shipped via USPS, UPS or FedEx, or hand-delivered. Works will not be returned before the end of the exhibition.
Shipped work must have a pre-paid label for return shipping. Work without return provisions or that which is not claimed by February 5, 2010 will become property of the Lore Degenstein Gallery.
