Harpsichord Dedication Recital
November 3, 2009
Harpsichordist Marcos Krieger and guests will perform a dedicatory recital on the newly acquired Hubbard Double Manual Flemish Harpsichord (Boston, 1976). The instrument had been commissioned by the late Richard Barshinger, a prominent educator and musician in central Pennsylvania. Now, this beautiful harpsichord will continue serving educational and concert purposes on the Stretansky Hall stage. With the typical Flemish decorations, this harpsichord is a modern copy of instruments made by the Antwerp builder Ruckers in the 17th century, featuring two keyboards with Taskin ravallement.
8 p.m.
Stretansky Concert Hall
The performance is free and open to the public.
