Jewish Life
We invite you to become involved in Jewish life at Susquehanna University!
There is an active Hillel, which organizes religious and social activities throughout the year. Membership is open to any student interested in Judaism.
Enrich your knowledge of Jewish spirituality, literature, history and cultural diversity through the Jewish Studies academic program. Intellectually stimulating classes are complemented by occasional public events such as a lecture, film, art exhibition or panel discussion.
Get to know Rabbi Nina Mandel. In addition to teaching in the Jewish Studies Program, she leads Congregation Beth El. The synagogue, located seven miles from campus in nearby Sunbury, offers regular Shabbat and holiday services.
Affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the university community is supportive and inclusive. You’ll find that our size facilitates the creation of meaningful relationships among students and between students and faculty mentors.
