Nate Milne Named Offensive Coordinator
SELINSGROVE, PA – Susquehanna University has added Nate Milne to its football coaching staff as offensive coordinator. Milne comes to the University from SUNY Cortland, where he was an assistant football coach for four years.
Milne replaces Gary Brown, who resigned in March
to take a position as running backs coach at NCAA Division I Rutgers.
"We are very excited to have someone with Nate's background here on our staff," said head coach Steve Briggs. "He has a wealth of experience and is very familiar with Liberty League football."
Milne worked with Cortland's offensive line for three years and running backs for one, coaching five All-New Jersey Athletic Conference offensive linemen and one All-NJAC running back during his tenure. In 2006 and 2007, Cortland ranked No. 1 in its conference in scoring offense and in 2006 was also No. 1 in fewest sacks allowed.
In the summer of 2007, Milne was a guest coach with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League and spent their preseason working as an assistant offensive line coach.
He also spent one year as an assistant coach at Hamilton College, focusing on tight ends and offensive scouting.
A 2003 graduate of Hobart College with a bachelor's degree in history, Milne was a four-year letterwinner with the Statesmen, earning first team all-conference honors as a senior and playing on the school's first two NCAA Tournament teams.
